I interrupt this Africa-focused blog for a very special announcement: I'VE DECIDED TO EXTEND THE JOURNEY TO SE ASIA BEFORE RETURNING TO THE STATES, AND YOU'RE ALL INVITED TO JOIN IN THE FUN!!!
That's right. Instead of heading back to DC in late January, I'll be flying to Bangkok and launching into an 8-week tour. Current thinking is to hit Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Who's coming to meet me??? Send me a note quickly, as I'm currently plotting out my route, and would love to include you in the planning!

OH...MY....GOD....is all I said when I read the start of this post. I am so excited for you! I wish I could make it out there, and would probably figure a way to do it if I hadn'tjust planned a trip to Europe for April with Stephanie Bryant. I have always wanted to visit Thailand...take lots of pics for me!

Meredith, Asia will be a great different surprise for you....very colorful although get ready with the heat and worse dirt and smell than Africa. have a great time. Saw some of your pictures and stories....glad you had a blast so far.
